Claude Michelet

Claude Michelet, born May 30, 1938 in Brive-la-Gaillarde and died May 26, 2022 in the same city, is a French writer. A former farmer, Claude Michelet has always had the talent to tell the story of the land and those who embody it in his novels, in the great peasant tradition. His work has been rewarded with the Prix des Libraires, the Eugène-Le-Roy prize and the Popular Novel prize, among other distinctions. He is notably the author of the famous Des grives aux loups, the first volume of the great saga of Vialhe in Corrèze.
