Gustave Flaubert

Gustave Flaubert was born in 1821. In 1857, Madame Bovary was published, which is a real revolution in the world of letters, and will lead to him being tried for contempt of public and religious morality and good morals. His other works include Salammbô, L’Éducation sentimentale, Madame Bovary, and Bouvard et Pécuchet, which were major works in French literature of the 19th century.
