Irène Némirovsky

Irène Némirovsky was born in 1903 in kyiv. In 1926, she published her first novel, Le Malentendu. Others will follow. However, World War II begins. Némirovsky was arrested by the French gendarmerie on July 13, 1942, interned at the Pithiviers camp, and then deported to Auschwitz, where she died on August 17, 1942.
