Les enfants terribles

Les enfants terribles
Cocteau is an expert at writing about dysfunctional families. Each family has its own set of rules. The father leaves this family, the mother dies, and the son is injured by his idol. He is taken care of by Elizabeth, his older sister, and the doctor, who is a friend of the family. Gérard, an orphan brought up by an often absent uncle, interferes between this brother and this sister. In this conflicting and passionate relationship, they create a cocoon of mysterious laws in their large bedroom where they sleep. There, they contain all of their treasures and evocations of people chosen as sorts of idols.
