Here is my intro:
“L’étranger is considered a monument of French literature. The main character, a sort of anti-hero, is a complete stranger to the world around him. The narrator lives in Alger at the beginning of the 20th century. At that time Algeria was still a French department. This novel seems easy to read. The story is simple at first glance: it is the story of a man who goes to his mother’s funeral, falls in love, and meets his neighbors. But the analysis of the subject is complex. This man is disillusioned, this lack of feeling is pointed out.“
It is sometimes said that the most complicated in life is to keep it simple. Is this genius?
